Praying Mantis Update

Yesterday the Praying Mantis paid a visit to my son's and daughter's classes. He was well received by all. The 6th grade girls let him out and posed for some pictures with him. I thought "Ah ha a new photo venture posing with bugs!" kidding of course.... I actually let him crawl on my arm yesterday too. He is a friendly little critter.

We had gotten some baby crickets the day before for his dinner. I told the kids if he didn't eat, than we needed to set him free. He did eat yesterday, so he will stay on at least another day. I don't want to keep him if he isn't eating. He is great pest control for our yard.
